There was no internet connection for the last 4 days 🙁
Don’t know, when the internet services will improve in India.
For now, don’t have any alternative in BroadBand, so will have to stick to same Internet service.
The internet service provider for a slow speed of 4-8 Kbps, they charge good amount.
Even then, atleast twice a week, internet is not available for 12-15 hours at a stretch.
And this time it was a record of 90 hours….
The same was the case with SIFY, and when my speed was reduced below 2 Kbps.
The SIFY local incharge used to say 2 Kbps speed is enough 😯
The truth is now-a-days, no organisation cares for cutomers whether its SIFY, Reliance, SQL Star, etc, they just want to earn money. They appoint young persons at managerial level, who are trained in fooling customers.
That’s why need is there to enforce the rights through the consumer courts, as only they can teach these organisations indulging in Unfair Trade Practices, what is an efficient service and the Customer Is still The King 🙂

Interesting. Neeraj is about get a connection in Mumbai where they are promising somewhere between 20-30 kbps. I still think that’s slow (i am on a network that goes @ 54 mbps 🙂 ). Neeraj tried it out and says the speed was good @ 20 kbps. So we will see, they are going to come and install it tomorrow.
You would think that India, becoming so high-tech as it is, would have better net connection. Keep @ it in the courts! I think u got the right idea! 🙂

I am also currently receiving speed of 30-40 Kbps for the last more than one month. Though I have paid for a package of 4 Kbps 😉
So have taken full benefit of Torrents. Thanks for suggesting DesiTorrents 🙂
The internet speed in US is really great 😀
I don’t think the speed of 54 mbps cannot be made available in india, even in the next 50 years.
Though with the TRAI’s new policy passed 3-4 days back, internet is going to be cheaper in 2005. Then the speed of 30-35 Kbps will be available for less than Rs 1,000/-
Poonam says
That is cheap! Right now Neeraj will be paying 600 Rs. for the 20-30 kbps… so that’s not bad.
I hope that the net speed in india gets better. I don’t think it will take 50 years..

Oh, c’mon. I don’t agree with this line of yours, “They appoint young MBA’s at managerial level, who are trained in fooling customers”. That is so not true. I think its the young MBA’s that are concerned about the customer’s satisfaction. The older Executives care only about money…
Poonam says
These days everybody cares about money…nobody cares abt. the customer.. kalyug hai yeh..

MBAs care about people? they are the one on a whole different level. they do not even see the common man.
