Record Marriages…

11/27/2004 By Blogger 30 Comments

This year’s record of maximum marriages in a day in Delhi is on 28 November 04. The number is 14,000 😯

And I don’t know any of these 28,000 families as I havn’t been invited at a single marriage πŸ˜‰

Ankur bas tumhari hi kammi thi us figure main. You should have gotten into the spirit in becoming part of history by getting married as well on that day. Then there would have 28.001 marriages on that day making that number more memorable and unique. Seize the moment! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜† :rotfl:

Record is broken every year πŸ˜‰

But I think it will be expensive to marry on this day, as Demand exceeds Supply 😯

No wonder India’s population is shooting up πŸ˜€

28th is today….I’ll watch it @ Zee News, they showed it last year.
The cost would be definetly high, but I think its worth – You can be happy that so many others r being slaughtered too.

Well, there’s no doubt that the people in India are still not getting the sense what’s causing all the problems. Getting married is ok as long as they can control to have 1 or at the most one kid, otherwise give rise to unemplyment, crime, corruption and eventually brain drain which pushes the country into the vicious cycle leading to unprecedented issues spiking each day.
There are still numerous reasons that i love my country for and would come around to do something !

    Right Brother :thumb:
That’s true every economic problem in India, has its root in Population Explosion.

Politicians are here not to serve, but to make money for themselves. If anybody had little concern, they must have adopted one-child-norm policy like China, and made it compulsory πŸ™„

How can you make it compulsory that people only have one child?? The government doesn’t have any control over that..and if a family has more than one child are you going to do what the chinese do?? Kill the child? I don’t think that’s the solution.

I was just giving an example…
They can adopt any policy they like.
After all, I am not a parliament member πŸ˜‰

But something must be done and the government should not sleep over such a serious issue

Well…the first thing that needs to be done is to educate the illiterate people. How could the problem be solved when the people who are causing it are not even aware about it? India is a great country and it sure has the capabilities to be economically strongest in the world. The increase in population is giving rise to so many other problems. The policy of killing babies, like in China, is definitely not something that our country should adopt Γ’β‚¬β€œ but there are many other measures that could be implemented!!

@ Manu – thats a good idea, but who will take initiative of educating people? – Our politicians….. they never would like that people become educated and know a lot more. This is the only reason that Bihar and UP are still backward. Lalooji, (with utmost respect) doesn’t want that Janta should study and become aware of whats happening. They want that people should be happy if he gets them a well or changes the route of a train to a nearby village.

So its upto the youth to educate the people. I don’t mean that Indian youth should go to villages and open up schools n stuff…but there are various other ways to educate people. Well…who is this saying? – me, whos sitting ina foren country and isn’t doing anything about his country except cursing the poojaniye Lalooji.

@ Aman – Watch Swades, it has a very good story line. I think it will touch a lot of people’s hearts and if it can motivate a few people to go back to India, then it doesn’t even need to have an Oscar.
