Bought DELL Inspiron 6400 last month….
Seems to be fine till now… and though carries 3 years complete warranty, so nothing much to worry !
But DELL is always in news for various reasons:
1. DELL Recalls 4.1 Million Unsafe Batteries
2. Chinese Consumers Sue Dell (10 August, 2006)
Though Laptop was bought before 18th July… but still my battery serial number does not feature in the effected numbers list provded at https://www.dellbatteryprogram.com/Default.aspx
Second news is more interesting… and I need to discover the same fact too … whether it has T2300 processor or T2300E processor… as in whole of Asia the Laptops are delivered from malaysia only 🙄

archer congrats anyway.. by the way have you heard about many dell laptops bursted…
i can see in gadgets guru website some photos of dell laptops that bursted while using… many of them had this problem but its only 1 in 1000 problem so dont worry cheer up with what you have and by the way my bro to has Lenovo Laptop which is working Great….

good to hear that you don’t have the dell laptop that has the bad battery. our office laptops are those with the bad batteries. 🙂
I am still a pretty big Dell fan — i have had laptops and desktops from Dell and never really had any issues. Haven’t found a better one yet — in fact planning to buy another Dell desktop in the next week.

I have also seen those pics… few months back, it happened in some seminar… while there was some break going on.
Right Poonam, DELL is top in US, so ofcourse all US residents have great faith in it !

Even I have a Dell lappie… I’ve been using it for more than a year.. and its working fine till.. without any glitches (touch wood)…
I recently got a HP lappie too for my sis… and within the first week itself, the display screen stopped working….. took them almost 3 weeks to replace the laptop..
Haven’t used ibm/lenavo ever.. so can’t comment on it!

hey Ankur.. did u check the batteries of ur laptop.. recently, heard tht some of the batteries are heating up too much and Dell has agreed to replace it..
so, did u check urs??

Have observed them… doesn’t seem to be any problem of over-heating with them 🙂
