SIFY BroadBand… Justice Delayed

8/4/2005 By Blogger 7 Comments

After so much of waiting… Court says they don’t have jurisdiction to decide the matter… and I should approach TRAI. And this is in total contradiction of what TRAI announced on 6th July 2005… and which I had posted earlier.

TRAI chairman Mr Pradeep Baijal said: “Consumer complaints are not in the purview of the Trai Act. A district consumer forum looks after such complaints….. consumer-related directives by Trai are intended to help the district consumer forums. People can get justice quickly from consumer forums. So we have decided to come out with more regulations and directives for consumers. Read more here

Now, the appeal will be filed at the state level and appeal if accepted, it will take same number of months for decision. Welcome to the Indian Judicial System

Justice Delayed is Justice Denied

To be continued…

Hey, I’m a Sify user, and I agree, they’re horrible. I’m slowly working my way up the food chain, wrangling phone numbers and email addresses of higher and higher ranked people (though I admit, I’m not too far up as of yet).

If you need someone who can pull out some detailled explainations or anything, I’m willing to help.

And if its not too late to get in on the compensation, I’d like to be in on that too.

    Let me know.

I am also completely frustrated by the service Sify is providing and some of the Helpdesk people are there just to give you incorrect information. The only thing that i have learnt is that unless and untill you dont swear to their supeiors nothing is going to happen. Today I had to make three calls again to get a temporary connection after 6 days of disconection. All the three people that i talked to gave me different answers to my request.
